From the census Wales as a whole is about 4% non White. Once you leave the cities black faces are rare & the Valleys north of Cardiff are some of the least diverse parts of the UK -over 98% White. They are also pretty much the poorest area of the country too. The main 'faultline' in Wales is between English speakers and Welsh speakers. To be realistic they could have made the remote country people in Countrycide Welsh speaking, but that would have been a massive can of worms that they wouldn't dare touch. They cut Owen's remark about North Wales from Out of Time too.
