I have done a whole lot of color coding.
it may or may not be any use at all.
it feels like going over them with a microscope, like I have to step back and blink before I can see poem again.
I think I got some useful out of it, maybe even a point of comparison.
Also found lots of t sounds, like "patented terror", machine gun stutters.
plus something about the way the words are set out on the page making some words be above each other. 'so much / so many' end up linked even though they're a bunch of words apart if the words were all in a row.
Both poems about trouble caused by religious divides, about the rules one set of powerful impose on another religious group.
Also about guilt and silence and how much a poem can really say about this stuff.
A bit.
I kind of don't like poems. They're small and full of words and I can kind of see what they're doing but... blah.
... I also mean "I kind of don't like not being good at stuff"
which, you know, I knew.
I do kind of like this look words up and color them in bit.
It might be entirely useless, but it's fiddly, methodical, and makes colors on the page. My kind of work really.
... yes, I like coloring in books too. Usually of celtic knots. They're fun.
