college again :-)

... it's the kind of feeling you get when you can go 'oooh, I didn't know that... and there's tons more I didn't know over there... and later we will find it all out!'
I have smiling now.
I also participated usefully by saying something dumb to start discussion off. Because then everyone else can feel smarter about their small thing to say.
... shhh, it was too on purpose, yep...
well I work on the theory that saying something is more useful than saying nothing because then I've had talking practice. and the teacher can tell me stuff to undumb me.
How am I supposed to know if a documentary on the working class in the 50s was authentic? What's authentic mean? What are we comparing it to?
I thought up some useful answer later also. But I think authentic is an odd word to apply to any edited bit of TV. Or, well, anything really.
Lots of reading to do. The reading I did yesterday turned up in class. I felt all :-D
Also I could sell my spare copy. For tiny money, but I only paid tiny money so that's fair.
I feel like I have skills this year. I know where the library books are and I've got a study routine (well, I've got a couple hours built in where there's no class and I got to wait for transport so I may as well study. It shall become a routine, like last year.) And I've got my folder of usefulness. And I've got some of my own books, and some on the to-read list I've read already, so I can build on them. It's a nicer feeling than the start of a year usually is.
Plus, I found the plugs in both classrooms now. Always helpful.
... why can't laptop batteries last longer? My old laptop actually has more battery life. I think lasting through class was more useful than widescreen and DVD player. Well, for college use.
I got books out the library. Huge books I'll likely not get through without renewing. Thus I feel studious.
... I forgot I had to pay the car so had to stop at the supermarket to get the moneys. Oops.
... it's very irritating having to pay the car. Several DVDs worth of money go away just to get me to college and back. uncool.
Also, my shoes definitely don't fit. Guessed wrong. Sulk.
So, ebay, 'worn twice, only slightly rained on'.
