intermittently I poke around to try finding mantras for Oz
today I found out that Blue Tara is associated with a she-wolf.
Picture of scary looking blue Tara, but other places call that one black Tara.
Wiki reckons Blue Tara is associated with transmutation of anger.
I still looking to find which mantra is that.
there are different traditions. some have 21 Taras.
did find a page full of Tara mantras
Tara reference page
(there are many more)
same mantras here
one of the homages mentions protection from zombies even. nifty.
Mantra:
OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SVAHA
(Recite 7, 21 or 100 times or as many as possible)
2. OM BANZA TARE SARVA BIGANEN SHINDHAM KURU SOHA
The Tara who averts disasters
10. OM TARE TUTARE TURE MAMA SARVA RANDZA DUSHEN DRODA SHINDHAM KURU SOHA
The Tara who averts hell-born calamities
13. OM TARE TUTARE TURE SARVA DUSHING BIKANEN BHAM PEH SOHA
Tara who averts evil caused by demons
15. OM TARE TUTARE TURE SARVA HEH HEH DZALEH DZALEH BENDA PEH SOHA
Tara who averts evil caused by wild beasts
17. OM GARMA TARE SARWA SHATDRUM BIGANEN MARA SEHNA
HA HA HEH HEH HO HO HUNG HUNG BINDA BINDA PEH
Tara who subdues demons
sometimes written differently
Mantras: Her basic mantra which may be said for all forms and by anyone is
OM! Tare Tuttare Ture, Swaha.
pron.: Ohm. Tar-uh, too-tah-ray too-reh. Swaha [So-ha is how Tibetans say the final word.]
SOHA [Tibetan pronunciation of swaha = be!]
Another list of Taras and mantras
15 looks most useful for werewolfs, with the 'beasts' bit
15. Tara of Virtuous and Creative Serenity Praising Tara's Dharmakaya Aspect
This verse is in praise of the mind and speech factors of Tara's Dharmakaya aspect.
15. The Very Peaceful (Rab.shi.ma) Also [2.] "The Great Pacifier."
15)Rabzhima
This Tara is to purify obstacles resulting from our negative actions and past karmas.
More Tara
even more Tara
anyways, I put this here so I have it for later.
Also blue
Akshobya
Path of Transmuting Negativity
turns anger into Mirror-Like wisdom
Akshobhya's bija is Hum and his mantra is Om Akshobhya Hum.
Akshobhya mantra
Akshobhya with mantra
somewhere selling Akshobya prayer flags with 108 mantras on them reckons 'According to the Dharani Sutra of Akshobya, even if one has committed actions that ordinarily would bring immediate and severe consequences at death, seeing this mantra inscribed on the wall of the room in which one dies will exhaust all the obscurations caused by the karma of those actions.'
The name Akshobhya means "Immovable" or "Unshakable."
So he gets put together (or mixed up) with Acalanatha, also called Acala (or, as usual, a bunch of other spellings), who is also Immovable, and blue. And one of my favourite statues, with sword and handcuffs, surrounded by flames but sitting on a rock.
But they are quite seperate.
