Bad brain day. Hid under duvet all day. Also read a book. Which turned out not to be very good. Which is annoying.
I've done more in the last half hour than I have all day.
I've started sorting out con clothes. If anything needs washing methinks tis far too late to wash and dry in time. But considering how very many con clothes I have, I should be able to get three days and a travel outfit out of them.
My travel shirt is chosen already, actually. Its the nice eight point star in knot shirt I accidentally turned lavender. Its red and black but also purple, and it has long sleeves and actually is nearly long enough to count as a dress, so its good for the weather.
I've gone with the celtic knot theme in picking shiny bits. I've got the belt buckle, the matching sword, some earrings, a hair tie and a couple of bangles. Theme!
The sword won't stay on the belt without something clever happening with a bit of ribbon. Which I'm sure I'll manage if I just remember to pack the ribbon...
I'm debating bringing my spike bracelets. They give it a sort of valkyrie look but they have definite problems when crossing arms, or doing hand jive. Also they're uncomfy to put on. Probably best to leave them home.
Apparently this isn't a tiara sort of a weekend.
*sulks*
Part of the problem is I don't know what sort of weekend it is. I mean at Wolf or Starfury I can happily do costumes, and while I might be the only one (aside from Jedi Chefs) I (as far as I've noticed) don't get mockery for it. But Highlander Worldwide? Website says not so much with costumes, though they're welcome, and it has rules for swords.
I haven't sorted anything to get signed yet. I actually might just go with the con booklet.
Will there be a con booklet???
This might become 'con napkin' in a pinch...
Lasagne pinged. Food will make things better.
*frazzled rushing about*
